Can’t decide between the two? Learn both. Basic techniques and color theory in an exciting dynamic way. Exercises in drawing will be enhanced with use of various drawing and painting media and study of an artist’s vision of the world, past and present. For beginning and continuing students Acrylic, watercolor and oil pastels mix together to create exciting works. Explore the vitality of colors and textures. Each class will emphasize a different technique and students will complete a painting per class. Instructive but not restrictive.

Use basic shapes, alphabet letters, and numbers to create clever characters, cute animals, and imaginary creatures of sea and space. Add background with pencil, oil pastels or markers and try simple movement teachniques to make flip flop books with eyes that move and have talking mouths!

Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator as well as iMovie will be used. Students will learn to create animations from still images, develop a storyboard and script, and add special effects in iMovie.
